It's a boy!

I find myself thinking about boy names in the middle of the day. I don't usually day dream at work, but since we found out I find hard to concentrate sometimes. I think about college funds, life insurance, and other important things. But I also think about baby Illini football jerseys and all the fun stuff I'll get to do with my son in the years to come. I better get some sleep while I can.

More photos of Nike hyperdunk

Not many fans of the last Hypdunk photo I posted. Allow me to post some more options. Trust me, it's going to be a hot shoe because of the Olympics.

The one's on the left (aka McFlys) are being sold for over $1000 on Ebay. The Hyperdunks were modeled after the Nike's that Michael J. Fox wore in Back to the Future 2.

Here's a Nike promo event with Kobe emerging from the time traveling Delorean.

Ouch

So, I think I have Plantar Fascitis. My left foot is killing me. I think playing in a summer basketball league the last 5 weeks in addition to my regular workout schedule have worn out my dogs. I hear that rest, ice, and stretching should help. I'll probably have the difficulty with the 'rest' part of the formula. I get a little nutty if I'm not doing some sort of exercise. Plus, I need a reason to buy more shoes. =) Here's my next pair dropping on July 26th...the Nike Hyperdunk weighing in at 13 oz. Sweeeet!

Stroll down memory lane

Attended another wedding this past weekend. Congrats to Charles and Sharon! The ceremony was in Hinsdale and the reception in Westmont. Being back in that area (south west burbs) brought back memories when I lived in Westmont in 2001-02.

Some things I remember from that year: Sept. 11, getting laid off, unemployment checks, getting to know the Parkwood family, great friends, looooots of basketball at Midwestern University, hurting myself cooking Vietnamese food, job interviews, missions trip to Ecuador, grew out a goatie, dislocated shoulder playing volleyball, tore abdominal muscle in tennis tournament, mild concussion from snowboarding, no health insurance (can't believe that one), goodbye to Pastor Greg, hello to grad school, power and hope in God's word, faithfulness.

One of the most difficult times in my life but wouldn't change a thing because the Lord walked with me and I with Him.
